Presentation of the Project
Welcome to the 2INS Clusters project website!
The 2InS Clusters Project (SMEs’ Innovation and Internationalization Support Clusters) is a 36 month initiative cofinanced by the European Commission, within the framework of the Programme MED.
The Project aims at the design and validation of a transnational coordinated Integrated Framework for the establishment of viable collaborative platforms, whose mission will be to promote and enhance regional competitiveness through the support of knowledge-based and internationalized entrepreneurship.
Synoptically, 2InS introduces:
- Knowledge-Innovation and Internationalization as critical factors for developing sustainable SMEs and regional competitiveness,
- Local partnerships as a potentially powerful means for the support of SMEs’ Innovation and Internationalization.
2InS focuses on the “Creative Economy”, since it brings a fresh and rather promising approach in sustainable regional socio-economic development. An approach which is critical for the target regions, as well as for all the MED regions, since it involves sectors focusing on developing new products and services within the broader cultural and natural heritage area, on creating and exploiting intellectual property rights, etc.
The project is implemented by a transnational consortium, comprising of nine partners from five EU countries, namely Greece, France, Italy, Spain and Malta and coordinated by the Project Leader, being Business and Innovation Centre of Attika, Greece.
